If you are struggling to reach a high level of success, it may be due to your ego. You may be thinking, not me! I'm not like that! ego doesn't only refer to those who are so full of themselves or conceited or offensive. Your ego is also an amazing driving force. A Properly developed ego is necessary to reach and maintain a high level of success.

A lack of ego leads to being unsure of oneself. It is to have self-doubt. It is to be surrounded by people who do not share your goals. It will find ways to fail over and over again. Leave you to drift like a balloon in the breeze. Provide you with no plan or direction.

What we might consider an over developed ego or egotistical are those who are offensive. They might be so full of themselves that they can't see past their own nose. Perhaps you know someone who fits this bill. I believe that in many cases they are like this to hide their insecurities. This is not productive and likely will not lead them to a high level of success that will be maintained over their life span. These are those that may reach a high level of success for a time but sadly often crash.

I had the pleasure of meeting one of my biggest heroes. I attended a Brendon Burchard seminar. I was able to remain after everyone had left and I got my picture taken with him. If you don't know who Brendon is, he is an incredibly successful man. On stage he gives every ounce of energy he has to give. There I was walking toward him., He took me by the hand and turn us both to face the camera. They took the picture and I thought that was it. I even started to turn away. He put an arm around me and I did the same to him. He is a rather small man compared to me. He is so powerful. It was hard to believe that this small guy had so much to give. There we were in what can be best described as a quiet personal moment. There was no one in the world right then. Just Brendon and I. We were  talking softly. He gave me his full attention, he was the nicest person I ever met. He was humble, I could feel the power flowing between the two of us. Our minds met for a short time. It was very much an eye opener for me. I knew what I had to do then. I wanted to have that kind of impact on others. Brendon can have anything he wants. He is a self-made man and worth millions. He gave no sign of being an egotistical person at all. He was self-assured, confident, he was not uncomfortable talking with a blind guy who obviously admired and respected him. He was very relaxed. he cares about people. He is also very driven. He has his goals and plans all laid out. Frankly I never wanted to let him go. I wanted to know anything, everything. I made him laughed and as I walked away I told him someday he will hear of me. He told me he didn't doubt it for a minute.

What made Brendon such a great man? Why is he so successful? How will he remain on the top of his game forever? He has a very well developed ego. He came from a poor family that grew up in a mining community. A society  that settled scores with fists. He didn't come from a privileged upbringing. He did have very good role models in his parents. Let's explore how you can build a well-developed ego of your own so you too can reach the highest level of success.

Last week we talked about How To Master Mind Control. I stated then that the mind is one of the only things that we can truly control. Ego is also part of this equation. Yes, you can learn to control and develop an ego that helps carry you to phenomenal successes.

Here are The 7 Steps To A Productive Ego

1. Form A Master Mind Relationship
The term Master Mind has been over used these days. However this is what is necessary. A master mind is not a large group of people who share some things in common. This is wonderful and can be very productive. I consider this a likeminded group. I belong to a few such groups.
A Master Mind Relationship is for a specific purpose. It is harmonious and remains active. For this purpose the minds are as one. This consist of 2 or more people.

2. Having A Plan Of Action
A plan of action is there to form the fastest way to get to the end result as quickly as possible. If this plan isn't serving the purpose it must be replaced with another plan. It is not uncommon to have to switch aspects of the plan as required. If one fails one must change the plan and proceed as many times at it takes.

3. Avoid Negative People
This is not a nice thing but it paramount. In order to reach a high level of success one needs to remove anyone and everyone who stands in your path by being negative. One can't possibly be successful when one feels inferior. A positive ego can't grow in the shadow of negativity.

4. Never Think About Previous Failures
When you have a failure, you may be able to learn from it. However, thinking about it in terms of being a failure and generating fear will not serve your ego. This applies to all bad experiences. 5. Success Room
Have a room where you spend most of your time designed to be a success room. Have pictures or objects in that room that remind you of your end goal. Have books of those you admire. Pictures on the walls. Written plans on the wall. Anything that suits your dream. This serves as a constant reminder to help keep you focused.

6. Control Your Ego
You must guide your ego in order that it doesn't take over and lead you in to becoming an egotist of the worst kind. Think in this term, not too much not too little and you will be fine. As you gather more wealth, allow it to do good for others. Do not permit your ego to drift in to areas that are self-destructive.

7. Ego Constantly Changes
As you learn and grow your ego will also be changing. It is vital to make sure you keep it in control. Some people are humble in the beginning and then become monsters as their success grows. Often these are the ones who fail badly later in life. Don't change for the worse.

Apply the above 7 steps and you will be able to reach your highest level of success much faster and with grace and dignity. Remain humble yet positive. Give love and not anger. Remain focused on the end dream. Live the words I give to you.
